Neuropsychologist

As a part-time Neuropsychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing and diagnosing cognitive, emotional, and behavioral disorders through neuropsychological testing. Working in person in our San Diego office, you will conduct thorough evaluations for individuals across a wide range of age groups, with conditions such as neurodegenerative diseases, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other neurological and psychiatric disorders.
This position is ideal for a licensed psychologist with a strong background in neuropsychological testing who is looking to work in a dynamic and supportive clinical environment. Consultation with a seasoned psychologist is provided by the clinic, if needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Part Time, Full Time

  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, including clinical interviews, test administration, scoring, and interpretation of results.
  • Assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning of individuals with known or suspected neurological impairments.
  • Create detailed, evidence-based neuropsychological reports, with tailored recommendations for treatment and interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families about the results of assessments and guide them through the implications of diagnoses and treatment options.
  • Follow best practices in psychological ethics, including confidentiality and patient care standards.

Qualifications and Skills

(pay: TBA)

Education: Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Licensure: Current, active California license as a Psychologist.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in neuropsychological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Experience with various neuropsychological testing instruments (e.g., WAIS, WISC, MMPI, CVLT, etc.).
  • Proven ability to interpret neuropsychological data and create detailed reports.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with a broad range of neurological conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s, TBI, stroke, etc.)
